Will becoming a philosopher ruin your mental health?

Will becoming a philosopher ruin your mental health?I am planning on studying philosophy for fourteen years an getting a Phd so i could be a professor and teach at a top university such as Yale, oxford, or harvard. But the problem is that some people seem to lose all sanity for being a "deep thinker". Nietzsche was a great philosopher who lost his mind due to poor mental health. My question is: Does fourteen years of philosophy have an negative effect on your mental health

Don't worry you won't have a poor mental health. However you might danger the mental health of the people around you if you express your ideas without any caution.

If you don't have an intuitive understanding of the world and the manner of all living things, 14 wasted years of your life won't bring you any sudden epiphany.
In the end, all we have are our memories. Do you want yours to be of stuffy classrooms and endless theories and text books, or of a wife and flourishing family happy to see you. Its your choice. Choose wisely.
