can a mental health social worker do this?My fiance was committed to the psychiatric department by the police he has to go to see the judge thing monday. he was commited on wed night. i talked to him on thursday when he called me. I tried to call on friday but couldnt talk to him. I talked to his mother and she said the social worker told her there was a no contact order between the two of us. Why would they do this? Can this be permanent or what is going on? No one will give me any information. I am currently 6 months pregnant with his child so its making things worse.

Obviously, someone in a position of authority decided that it would be best if he not have contact with you. Nothing you can do about it.
No one is required to tell you anything and no one here can give you any answers. We don't know the whole situation.
Your being pregnant has nothing to do with it to them.
