Can a Degree of Masters in Social Works from Lucknow university be helpful to get a job as a Psychologist.?If someone has done Masters in Social Works from Lucknow University ,can she get a job as a psychologist in geriatric mental health department in KGMU Lucknow. Is There by any chance? or it happens . Is that Degree is sufficient to be a psycholologist in Geriatric Mental Health Department in KGMU Lucknow.whether any other kind of course accompanied by abovementioned Degree can make a chance to get the job of psychologist in KGMU Lucknow.And what other job options in KGMU Lucknow can be available for a person having that degree.I wanna confirm that because someone claims me to be a Psychologist in KGMU Geriatric mental health department and I wanna real fact,whether that person is saying right or wrong.

To be an actual 'official' psychologist, you would need a post doctorate degree in psychology.

To be a psychologist you need a psychology degree. Very often this means both a master's and a doctorate. Then, you must pass a licensing examination.

Only a psychology degree will qualify you to be a psychologist. However you may be able to take on the same role/tasks a psychologist does with a social work degree You will need to check on licensure requirements.
