Community Mental Health O.T's?Hi there. I'm due to lead a 50 minute conference on the subject of occupational therapists in community mental health. My experience of this is not very good unfortunately. I found the role very generic and undervalued, with the focus of occupation being overruled with medication and 'counselling' as it were. What are your experiences and thoughts of this? What are the negatives and positives? Do you think there is a future for O.T's in community mental health? I'd appreciate your views. Thank you!
