Can I become a Firefighter in Denmark?

Can I become a Firefighter in Denmark?Hello. I am considering moving to Denmark(from USA) to become a firefighter or Emergency worker, specifically Esbjerg, or another area on the West Coast. I have a Worker's Visa (1 Year and a half) and was told it could be extended another year and a half. I am 22 Years old.

Here are my qualifications:
I earned a 2 year Degree in Fire Science/Firefighting.

I have worked 2 years volunteering for my local Fire Department in California.

I am a certified Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic(EMTP), the highest possible in the USA.

I am in great physical and mental condition, as I exercise daily, and meditate; I am sure I could pass any physical or psychological test given to me.(Not really a qualification but, hey)

More about me:
I do not have any sort of criminal record.

I have have studied Danish language and culture for the past 5 years, and thus speak very good Danish and know the Laws, written and unwritten, of the country.

Are the qualifications good enough? I am looking for a full time job, and everything else I have taken care of (health, funding etc.)

I just want to know if it is possible to get a job such as this, full time, as a foreigner with these qualifications.

If there is anything else I might need for this, please inform me, as I can afford to go to a Danish University and get more qualifications.

Thank you.

As the other question I answered from you

you seem to have posted the same question in all sorts of places

http://www.expatexchange.com/expat/index.cfm?frmid=198&tpcid=3349378

READ BELOW contact the Danish Embassy they will let you know if you qualify or not then contact FALCK and see if they are interested, there is nothing people can do here apart from offer advice. you need to do this yourself get on the telephone. the rules are changing all the time so what was fine last year may be wrong this year.

First thing just because you are married to a dane does not give you the right to get your "residency"
most are on a individual basis, especially as you are not an EU member, you will probably need to provide proof that you have acces to funds so that you will not become a burden on the Danish system, Heath, and the like.

Your US qualifications will help but 99% of things like that have to be in line with the Danish system, so be prepared to have to take more exams.

You have done well to learn Danish. many people don't learn any of the language.

That being said, Denmark has huge problems with employment, there are many people unemployed here, if you can offer the country something that they are short of then you will stand a better chance, but at this time everything is being cut back especially public services. from hospitals to schools.

Your best option is to contact the fire service here. FALCK

its in Danish so you may need some help.

next you need to actually find out where places are in Denmark, Esbjerg is as far west as you can get, not east.

Personally I would come here for a holiday and use the time to see what denmark is all about, there are good things as bad.
