(currently going through an assessment) I've lacked care for myself and haven't been out in 2 & half years. I lacked Hygiene etc ... I have/had long hair longer then shoulder length and was growing it.
As i lacked care for myself it got badly matted to the point i wasn't going to waste my time on trying to brush it, i got angry and upset earlier and cut it all off! My father now thinks im turning insane and has called a meeting with my psychiatrist etc i've tried telling him im fine but he thinks im slowly losing it? How can i make him and the doctors realize im fine?
Thanks
I'm 17

sounds like a grab for attention...go get a wig - low maintenance - tell your dad to relax and let it grow back...then here' s a tip - take care of yourself, your hair and your health.

Hi Fresita, IF this is really the case, you won't be able to fool them they are highly knowledgeable about the human mind, I could go on too about it but i won't. You won't fool them. It's rare that people will fool Psychiatrist and Psychologists lol Sorry..

Read your question. You are not fine. You need to welcome the concern of your father and the doctors. You say yourself that you have a lot of mental health problems and go on to describe some of them.
You need to accept help when it is offered. You are only 17. You have decades of life before you. Do you not want to enjoy them?

Just explain the reason to your father, if he doesnt understand then the psychiatrist whom you are going to have a meeting with can clearly tell your father, perhaps then he will. Just give a simple explanation and then they will all understand.
Have you ever tried kriya yoga or regression therapy with a psychotherapist ?
Sometimes deep seated issues can be resolved. And also I have seen some mentally ill patients improve after they or their families have volunteered to help out either mentally imbalanced patients or offering education to those in need, it is a positive karma(action) and the universe will respond or offer back in a positive manner. You seem to be like a smart girl and appear to be focused at times on what you like to do, that is capable of answering many questions on yahoo; that does say something about you.
Look into these websites:
Kriya yoga has powerful breathing techniques which has helped many patients with low energy levels, depression, mentally imbalanced patients. Read the research and let your father and psychiatrists know, perhaps they will allow you to take the course. It is very powerful.

You tell the doctor and your father the truth.
This will show that you know what your problem is and that this was the only way you could think of
to fix it.
Having been home bound for over 2 years you have a lot to overcome. Your doctor will be able to see that, what you did made sense for you.
Please try not to worry to much about this.
I've been home bound too and many times have tried to "fix" my hair.
Things will get better.
Hi,I did the following:
