Would cutting off my contact with the internet be the right thing to do to improve my mental health?

Would cutting off my contact with the internet be the right thing to do to improve my mental health?I plant o cut down on newspapers, msn, etc. Forget about everything. I also want to cut out the potential of certain people finding me in real life. I dont' ever want to see them again, or else I willl feel liek committing suicide. I dont' ever want to see them again.

I have tried before in the past to completely disassociate myself with the internet and the outside in general, but i have found that it has the complete opposite effect on my mental health than one might expect, i found myself plummeting into a deeper depression as simple things like having a laugh over the internet or talking to a friend Stifle the incessant boredom that effects Someone's mental health in such a negative way. There are many ways you can stop these 'people' from contacting you via the internet, such as using fake screen names or changing email addresses. I hope I helped!
