what should I do career/education wise???please help?

what should I do career/education wise???please help?I want a job that will make a difference. I didn't take school seriously due to personal problems so I'm not very smart plus my parents don't encourage my education, but I know I want to do something in mental health hopefully specializing in eating disorders and sexual abuse.
Should I go to TAFE and do the course IV MENTAL HEALTH which is a 2 year course (its not university) so when I finish I would get a salary of around $ 40- 45,000 a year. jobs include case worker, community worker, coordinator, mental health worker, support worker etc.
or should I go to uni and do nursing which is a 3 year course (plus I didn't get enough points to get straight in) so I'll have to do a year of associates degree in general studies)
and when finishing a salary of $ 60-$ 75,000
I'm thinking nursing :) I'm just worried I won't be able to pass exams.

In my opinion your best course of action is to go for the three year nursing degree. Think how your life will be different earning about $ 30,000 a year more.
