If you are a college student, most colleges have counseling centers on campus that you can goto for free. Most L PC's have sliding scales but I would say an average hourly rate with no. insurance is about 60-70 a session, psychologists are more expensive

I received free counseling from my college.
There are also free mental health clinics run by many counties.
Check it out.
Shop around and explain your situation if you need to go to a private therapist. One therapist in my area charges $ 100 but charges a friend only $ 50. She can afford $ 50. The therapist would probably accept less. Would your parents help or are they part of the problem?

The links are for Arizona Behavioral Health. I think if you enquire the least you might be able to do is find a provider on a sliding scale.

It depends on if you have insurance. It also depends on what type of therapy and who you see. With insurance, check your co-pay on your insurance card. Without insurance, about $ 150 for a psychologist. $ 130 for a LCSW. $ 120 for a LPC. $ 80 for a group therapy session. Some have sliding scales based on your income. Best thing to do is just call around and ask. Your in college, every college has therapists or counselors on staff that will work with you as well if you want...all it costs is the $ 10,000-$ 35,000 you pay for tuition for the next 20 years, lol. I hope I helped some. Good Luck
