are there any mental health residential centers that a 40 year old women could live in in Florida ?My mother is in a crisis stabilization unit & may be released any time this week. She was living with my grandparents who do not want her to come back into their home. They are tired of her refusing her meds, treating them like dirt, & walking all over them. They get retirement money, but not enough to care for her. They are also getting older and unable to handle her any longer. They refuse to kick her out, but they dont know what else to do. She has severe mental health problems. Please help.

Call the Mental Health Association in Florida for such information or look online.

Your parents need to set up an appointment with the social worker that works with your mother on the
stabilization unit while she is still there. They need to tell the social worker they do not want your mother to come back to their place. The social worker will have to help your mother find a place to live.
Your mother may be able to stay at a shelter or a halfway house. I hope everything works out for the best. Good Luck.
