depending on your age, finances, eligibility for programs and location , they would recieve some and sometimes complete treatment ,,but for the majority of cases they recieve little to none ,,

There are numerous free or low cost clinics as well as state hospitals for those who cannot afford treatment. I have used the free clinics several times. Most large cities have a charity hospital. Unfortunately, if there are no beds available some mentally ill patients can spend a day or more waiting in a section of the emergency room to get help......

75% of the homeless population are mentally ill..... in the US if you are not a threat to someone else then they just let them live off the street and eat out of trashcans.......... they can go to the emergency room for crisis care but then they are released back to the street....
