Mental Health: if you CANT go to mental health proff, and you KNOW things are wrong, WHERE online can help be found?

if you CANT go to mental health proff, and you KNOW things are wrong, WHERE online can help be found?huge trust issues with any mental health "agency/employees" or people in general.
umm, i said i had trust issues. the self same people its being advised i check out, the therapists ,group moderators, mh professionals, et el, ARE the ones who took pre-existing trust problems in general to a whole new ballpark. in ADDITION to the original situation THEY where the ones who in turn broke trust, confidence, with-held help, betrayed, et el. i DO have serious mh concerns, after 6yrs of "clinics" i know which/what. im aware i NEED some help, i KNOW an on-line anyone IS NOT a good idea, yet there must be SOMEPLACE to talk seriously about myself or just focus on someone else s concerns for awhile instead of mine. WHERE that is is my question.

You can educate yourself on-line at places such as WebMd.com, but I don't think you can find on-line therapy of sorts. I don't see how it would be reliable info if someone were claiming they could help you over the internet. . . not to mention dangerous.

If your mistrust the opposite sex, you can find a counselor who is the same sex as yourself. You may also find help and feel safe within a group setting which is moderated by a professional.

Frankly, I think that would be your best bet: a group setting with a professional moderator.

Sometimes things get so over-whelming that we can't handle them alone. It may be difficult, but you must make some small step in the right direction to help yourself trust some people

Take care. You are a child of God.

Research self-help / mental-health tapes, etc. Take up Yoga (seriously).

If you can't afford the tapes, borrow them from your local library.

it really depends on what kind of situation your dealing with. if you have problems that are related to self harm such as cutting, burning, forcing yourself to stay awake, starving yourself, something in that form, the best thing for you is DEFINANTLY going to some sort of counseling. if you can pinpoint your problem and have a want to be better than it is possible, but sometimes medications and counseling are needed. the best thing for you to do is try your hardest to have a positive outlook on life. trust me, i know thats hard. i've been to counselors my whole life, and truthfully most the time it did no good AT ALL. the main thing that will help you to feel better about yourself and life in general is to really try your hardest to have a positive attitude. find something your REALLY good at and stick to it. whether its sports, poetry, drawing, or even if its just your really good at being a good friend. there are so many things in life that can help you to feel better. realize you have family and friends in your life that need you and truly want you to be there, because no matter how alone you may feel, theres always AT LEAST one person that cares about you! :) just believe in yourself. (and i don't wanna sound like a total nerd that goes to the library and checks out tons of books, but there really is a TON of books that you can find at the library that'll help you.) i'm not a counselor and i'm just your normal totally chick but you can feel free to e-mail me. i've been through alot and i know how hard it is to keep going sometimes. hang in there k! :) *** bubblegumpink_88@yahoo.com ***
