I pay $ 500 a month for medical, dental, and vision. I'm not happy about it at all. After the monthly payment I only have to pay $ 15-30 for co-pays and that's it. Everything else is covered except for my contact lenses.

Lets see if I can remember it all.

Right now for just me I have a $ 2200 deductible and the ONLY thing that is covered at all before I meet the deductible is my annual well woman. Everything else is out of pocket until that deductible is met. After deductible MOST things 80% co-pay. no vision. I am also paying for aflac right now.

Next year it will be...

A $ 500 allowance that will be used before I have to start meeting the deductible which will be $ 2400

After that 80% co-pay on most things
$ 4.00 scripts generic
free annual well woman

no vision

I pay right now about $ 45.00 a month

next year I am dropping the aflac insurance and will be paying around $ 38.00/mo.

So while I am actually paying less, the premiums are actually higher. I am just dropping the aflac.

The thing that really gets me is with all other company insurance plans I have been with you usually have a doctor visit or hospital co-pay from the start, but not with this company, you have to pay out of pocket first. I fell down a flight of stairs back in June and had to go the the hospital and I was shocked to get a bill for the full amount, the insurance covered NOTHING!

Your ins. price is real good. Great benefits, sadly ins. will continue to increase because of med, Drs. and hospital charges.
