Can somebody tell me how I can get my 25 year old some mental help?She moved here from Texas in March 2010 with her 2 and 4 year old. She was on medication for bi polar in Texas. Since being here she hasn't got no help. we called the local mental health center and they have put her off, cause she doesn't have the funds to cover their cost...we tried a regular MD and he said he could only give her one month..that has run out...in the last 2 months she has gotten a DWI, and would have gotten a second but the officer was nice enough to drive her home...one suicide attempt that landed her in the hospital for 2 days,and yesterday arrested for having a wreck for inhaling dust cleaner...I called the mental health place again and they said I would have to go to the prosecuting attorney set a court date and then wait for the court date to tell the judge why she is a threat to herself or others...the way she is going she may die or kill someone else by the...She also had a suicide attempt back in Texas 2 years ago, that's what got her started on medication to begin with...no help for her here in Arkansas...please help!
Thanks commonse..but I would get her on meds if they would see her..the prob is they won't see her unless she goes through the process..with money...she is willing, but I think she might die, kill her kids, or someone else before it happens

The DWI will cost a heck of a lot more than the medication would have!

Get her on her MEDs! There are generics or substitutes!

The first step is to get her children away from her before Child/Social Services gets involved.
Just be prepared that she's going to be this way for the rest of her life! My guess, she's eventually going to be a homeless street person or something much worse. The only people you may be able to save are the kids. She's basically too unstable and useless to them! The longer this goes on, this will take a toll on them.
