did I expect to much of a friend I had for 22 years who's dumped me because I have mental health problems?She was my main support as I have no family and the mental health services let me down so badly repeatedly in the past this lead to legal cases. There are further legal cases still going on as despite the fact they made me worst with the behaviour they just continued - too lengthy to go into but there was also human rights abuse. I therfore could not stomach any more of the so called caring proffession and I would never go back to any of them - there were to many that were willing to do the bullying/abusing of the Health Trust.

So, this friend was my only friend, as such, and also the perosn that knew what they had put me throught. I was suicidal last week and to protect me from my self the police arresed me. I was up a mountain with a hundred tablets and a rope to hang myself. When I was let back out, the next day, she announced, without warning, that our relationship was over. I feel she must have known before now that she did not want to stay friends and I feel so bad!
Shynecan, thanks for responding - realy gratefull. However, I will not recontact her as she may feel like just dumping me again. I would never be able to trust her again.

I think sometimes from personal experience it is hard or make changes for friends/family that have mental health problems.

I want you to know that as a daughter of a suicidal bipolar (regularly) that I would never negate my mother. It is not your fault and sometimes your friend just need a bit of time out.

You just need to give her a bit of time then get back in contact with them.

don't feel bad... shes and asshole... talk to a counselor .. they can provide u with a lot of help..

No you did not expect too much from a friend of 22 years. Sometimes we learn who our true friends are when health issues or anything of a critical nature happens in our lives. Apparently if she had been a true friend throughout the 22 years she would continue to be one now. Friends like that you do not need...move forward with new friendships and leave the so called friendships behind. It will take time to get over but you can do it. Have Faith in yourself and in God. You didn't expect too much of your friend, after 22 years of friendship she was like a sister to you. I am very sorry that you have so many problems and send you all my heart and prayers. Keep looking for help and don't loose faith!
