Get a job with Social Security. While working at social Security, take classes on-line. You must find out what experience is required to be a social services worker. Then take courses. Also, do volunteer work at different places. Make sure you document everything you do. On-line, they have mini courses, take them. Have a long term goal set. By 2015 I'll be a certified social worker. You have to make a plan, and figure out how, when where, etc.. that your going to accomplish this. It's really that simple. I know of a company now, the biggest requirement is, do you have any experience with social security? I know for a fact they have hired people with no degree. Just remember these jobs require about 5 years experience in the field, weather your taking courses or actually working in a job, count all that time.
