How do seizures improve mental health?I learned that sicknesses with seizure symptoms have swept through menal assylums in medieval times and many/most of the patients were released due to their improved lucidity.

maybe they killed the affected area off and gave the patient a lobotomy type thing. Or the asylum owners couldnt deal with the sickness and got rid of the patients

the only mental health that seizures can improve is that of those who care for someone with seizures.

I have epilepsy and I have not reached that Einstein level yet. I agree that lobotomy's may have helped a little but many people died this way. Also, a lot of people were killed because seizures were seen as being possessed.
