Please if anyone knows of any teen counseling, mental health facilities where we could take her for an evaluation we would be so appreciative.
We have just signed up for medi cal, so It would need to be a place that accepts that or has reduced pricing for low income families.
Please help, we are desperate, Her biological mother was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia many years ago so its possible it was passed on to her daughter
we just signed up for medi cal - free medical benifits for low income families, we do not have medical insurance or a doctor due to a recent move back to california from another state.

Call your physician and ask him for a referral or a recommendation.

Take her to any doctor NOW!

Just take her to the nearest ER, they will start the initial treatment then pass the case on to a child psychologist and psychiatrist. Most hospitals have discounts for low income families.

yes indeed it is possible that this can be passed on, however I also feel that it is a condition that can be made slightly better or slightly worse by the environment she is in. I hope that she is not around the biological mother. In Vermont where I live the courts seem to have no concern about issues like that and protecting the child. Sorry I cannot be of help about a treatment facility

First talk to your doctor about an child and adolescent mental health center. Then see if you can get her to talk to a counciller before you put her in a phyc ward. She probably will hold it against you. You have to also think about her point of view about all of this. She may cause many issues for you but shes still a child, who needs someone to help look out for her.
