What can't you take into an adolesant mental health unit?

What can't you take into an adolesant mental health unit?I know about razors and aerosols and things like that, but is there anything else?? :/

Shoe laces, anything you can strangle yourself with, I believe outside food and drinks, any note books with those metal spiral things attaching the pages, any sharp metal, etc. But that was when I was put into a CRISIS adolescent mental health unit, for emergency cases- it may be different for you.

No shoelaces or waist-bands with ties. No lighters or matches.

you can't take anything sharp or anything that you could hurt yourself with.

scissors, string, shoe laces, lighters, matches, any sort of blade, nails, any medication (they will give you what you are prescribed).

some places also have strict rules on laptops/mobile phones/ipods ect, you just have to ask who ever is in charge what the policy is.

good luck x

You don't have to worry about it. If there is anything you are not allowed, they will just take it from you and keep it for you until you get out. Not all places have the same rules. Most commonly, you are not allowed anything sharp (even plastic bottles which one can break to make sharp shards), anything with which you could suffocate or hang yourself, any kinds of medications or drugs, money, or anything with which you can communicate with the outside world (cell phones, computers etc). Those were the rules at an institution I was in, anyway.

Pretty much nothing. As the saying goes, 'me, myself and I' for the person going.
They supply everything needed, you may be able to wear some of your own clothes, idk, you shouod call and ask in advance.
