I'm going to see the Community Mental Health Team soon - how can I explain to them that I'm having these thoughts but they don't need to lock me up? I wouldn't be able to cope with being hospitilized as I'd be away from my Husband.

Well they can't hold you against your will that is illegal. Unless you commit a crime.
Just think about your husband I'm sure he loves you and will help you through this. Don't hurt yourself.

Here is a tough question but, you know it would be better to recieve help for you suicidal ideations than to end up following through with them at a moment of weakness. Then your family would be away from you forever. Please get some help. Not everyone with suicidal ideations get locked up. Perhaps you should visit a psychologist instead of you family doctor. Good luck and stay strong.

Is normal to worry about being sectioned if you are a grapefruit or an orange.
I don't think they would lock you up. They may talk to your husband about ways to deal with your behavior, they may prescribe you some medication, refer you to a therapist, but they won't lock you up for suicidal ideation.
If they did that, the hospitals would always be full. You're not alone - take strength in knowing that other people get through it all the time, and you can too. Hang on.

Is there a priest or pastor you can speak with? They can give you the same kind of counselling (better in fact), but they won't lock you up.

First, there are legal criteria and rules about who can be sectioned and who can't. It seems unlikely that a person would be sectioned for mild and common problems.
Second, it sounds anyway you would be better off with your Husband. So a doctor is unlikely to section you!
Doctiors are human beings like everybody else. I suggest that you keep your appointment and explain all of the things that worry you and see where it goes from there.
