Going out on a day pass in a mental health institute?What happens if you find yourself in a mental health institute, and you go out on a day pass and you don't come back by the deadline? Can they send the cops after you?

I actually just got out of a mental health institute last week.
That is serious. I suggest getting back to that hospital before you do get in some serious trouble!

I guess it depends on the institute policy but I do think that they will send cops after you, you would be better off going back by yourself

Do that, and you risk an involuntary commitment, ordered by a judge. That will be on your record forever, and you will not have the same civil rights as other people do. In the US, you would lose your gun rights, if that is important to you (I'm a deer hunter, and it would upset me, for sure).
