Because my local one is s*it, it's the worst hospital I've ever known, bloody useless.
I need this assessment because I've been diagnosed with Conduct Disorder, ADHD and Asperger's at 15, this diagnosis was confirmed later by two of the best child mental health professionals in the country.
I got assessed for Antisocial Personality Disorder in 2009 when I'd just turned 18 and the psychologist said I tick all the boxes for ASPD but she wouldn't diagnose me with it as it'd do my life no good, lying b*tch.
Now, I am sure I have ASPD she basically confirmed that by saying I tick all the boxes.
But there's also a possibility that I have Naricissistic Personality Disorder too.
I need this assessment to know what's up.
Any suggestions?

Go to a non local doctor or mental health physician

1.) Call your health insurance, see if there are other alternatives. If they bone you around, 2.) call your Physician, and ask for a referral. Tell the referral lady everything you just wrote in here, and urge her to do her job. 3.) Go to websites for shrinks that specialize on ASPD in your area, and ask if they take your insurance. If they do, go back and call the referral person who works for your physician. She can set you and that psychiatrist up.
Maybe you'll be fortunate.
Most likely, you'll be tossed around, like everyone else.

It's great that you're taking it upon yourself to address your mental health needs. If you have a family doctor, call him and request a referral for a psychiatrist or psychologist. Or you can also locate a psychiatrist/psychologist on your own and make an appointment. If you have insurance, you can call them and ask what providers are in your network and area. If you need additional help locating a doctor please give us a call at the Boys Town National Hotline. It's toll free and we have counselors available 24/7 that can offer you referrals in your local area.

well there are lots of ways to get an assessment. You could pay for one. You could go to your Dr and demand one. You could act all carzy and be detained in a hospital and be assessed there. The possibilities are endless...
