This Short doco follows Stephanie Beck and her journey from her home in Christchurch, to Hill Street studios in Auckland and the process of recording her song 'I Have a Dream' with Johnny, Jared and crew. Rise is about rising up to help increase youth mental health awareness and reduce the stigma and discrimination for young people who have mental health issues. It's about empowerment and the opportunity for young people to promote mental health and wellbeing to other young people. If you're 20 years of age or under, you can get up to 00 (if you're an individual), or up to 00 (for groups) for your project. Your imagination is your limit! Come up with a creative project and tell us how it's related to youth mental health and wellbeing and teaching other young people about it, and we'll fund you to do it 'cos we want to support you to RISE UP! Dr. Kathryn Henderson discusses the stress-obesity connection during the release of the Stress in America 2010 survey. The American Psychological Association presented an overview of the annual survey on Nov. 9, 2010, at a media luncheon in New York City. Panelists were Dr. Norman Anderson, APA CEO; Dr. Katherine Nordal, APA executive director of professional practice; Dr. Henderson from the Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity; and Dr. Wheaton Griffin, director of YMCA camp for the YMCA of Greater New York.
