I'm in need of a mental health day. What are some things I should do to relax myself?Relaxing and getting rid of stress in an easy way.

sleep in.
then take a shower.
do your hair and make up
go to the mall
buy some awesome stuff
go to block buster
rent a chick flick
a really good one
fall asleep in front of the TV.

I love mental health days!

I sleep late in a nice cozy blanket.
Then I get up and have an omlet and usually like a rasberry cake.
Then I get on the couch and watch TV in my PJs.
Then I get up and go to the store and buy something, shoes, books, something for ME!
Then I come home and put on my PJs and take a nap.
Then I take a really LONG bath....

change into comfy clothes, lay in your bed, eat cookies/really good cake, and watch the office.

I love mental health days. I usually start off staying up the night before watching tv or a good movie and then I turn off the alarm clock and sleeping until whenever I wake up. I usually dawdle around the house and love to stay in my pj's knowing there is nothing I have to do if I don't need to. If I want to go out of the house I take a few extra bucks with me and hit one of my favorite stores occasionally I will catch the subway and head into Manhattan. Here are some other suggestions; getting your hair or nails done, meeting up with a friend you haven't seen in a while to go to a late breakfast, lunch or early dinner, seeing a matinee (they are cheaper and less crowded), going to the beach or the park, working on a favorite hobby, spending time with your pet(s), beginning a good novel, renting a movie, taking a nice warm bath, taking a nap during the day, start holiday shopping early to avoid the crowds or just do nothing. For me I love doing nothing, I work in a psychiatric hospital so sometimes a mental health day is being away from some of the stress that comes along with being around other people and their problems. A mental health day can be anything that you want or need it to be, it is something I remember first being introduced to me by my professor of abnormal psychology class, she encouraged them as a way to refresh one's self and also as a health way to take care of one's self. Have a great mental health day and remember that you are the most important person on that day so enjoy it.
