Should I contact FACS?I'm 15 years old and wondering if I should call FACS(family and children's services). My mother is emotionally abusive and neglectful, and has been for as long as I remember. She's constantly telling me how lazy I am and how useless I am in life. She ignores my health issues, and tells me my mental health issues (Depression, OCD, Anxiety, Avoidant Personality Disorder) are fake, and she wont help me get treatment for them. She refuses to buy the simplest things for me, like painkillers and hygiene items such as deodorant, which I have to buy myself from the little money I have. She goes through my garbage to see what I do, and she doesn't cook or clean. 've done most of my own cooking since I was six. My father, who is amazing and I love very much, lives about 2000 km away. The problem is, I don't want to change highschools or take my mom to court. Will they make me fo this? Should I call FACS?
Thanks for the advice, Angela, but if my dad lives so far away, how can I avoid changing schools? He'd take me in a heartbeat, but I think moving to a whole new province where I don't have my friends would be too much for me to handle...

You should talk to your father explain to him you would like to live with him tell him the way your mom is and have him handle legal issues if he refuses then yes call children services

You should call FACS. Just ask them not to move you too far from your school. Its not right what your mom does. Maybe you should call kids help phone and ask for information on the subject?
