Are there any democrats that disagree with social health care?

Are there any democrats that disagree with social health care?I am a former democrat, now independent that is against social health care.

Most of my democratic friends tear me apart and call me a traitor for leaving the party and they are all for social health care.

I was wondering if there are any other democrats out there that are unhappy with this years nominees and don't want social health care?
What's the difference between universal health care and social health care?

im against it, im also independant. i would like to see the BIG companies (health insurance, BIG pharm, etc) reigned in so everything is affordable and of much better quality than it is now...it sucks now.

universal health care is where theres a law FORCING you to go to a private company or companies to get health care. if you dont, youve broken a law. social is the government provides it 'free' to all. neither are good. i stand by my previous statement

I would suspect there have to be. There are some (albeit few) conservative Democrats, I would think they'd be against it.

I have many liberal friends, most of the smarter ones do not think that an all encompassing government sponsored health care plan is a good idea, but rather they would like to see preventative care. For example, checkups and smaller things that people might skip if they lack money, but where catching something sooner could be cheaper in the long run.

The system that we have now is broken, it needs to be fixed. How it will be fixed is a good question. I personally have no dog in this fight. Mine is being paid for by all the American taxpayers and I am grateful for that, it really would be nice if everyones was, as mine is.

If you insist on calling universal health care socialized, you don't belong in the Democratic party anyway.

You also are obviously a Republican not an Independent.
