Are mental health problems all in the mind?

Are mental health problems all in the mind?

Answer by TubCat
no, they are all in the BRAIN. to say its all in their head trivializes the illness and is the direct cause of the stigma so many with mental illnesses have to face, when they are already dealing with far greater problems.

That is debateable, but even if they are it doesn't mean you are always capable of fighting them.
You can try to alter your way of thought though, by looking at how and why you react to things etc...

Most yes.Mental health problems that stem from bad child hoods or bad experiences are the result of not being able to except and let go.Or the result of letting your emotions take control at the moment, causing the problems to take root. But some mental health problems may be caused by drugs, head trauma,or other sickness. The same can be said with other sicknesses,if the mind dos not acknowledge them they tend to correct themselves sometimes.Mind over matter.

More in the brain. Chemical imbalances cause most of the problems. The mind is the result of the process, while the brain is the function of this process.

Sociopaths are more in the mind, they have no balance other then doing what feels good to them. They are the psychopaths.
