Mental Health: Why do people want to shut down Pro Ana sites but leave these up?

Why do people want to shut down Pro Ana sites but leave these up?http://fantasyfeeder.com/cms/index.php

First of I AM NOT ANOREXIC! I just think it defies logic that there are scores of feeder sites yet everyone complains about the Ana sites. This fallacy is obvious when one refers to the following evidence:

The U.S. Surgeon General report declared that obesity is responsible for over 300,000 deaths every year. The most widely disseminated CDC research statistics on American obesity tell us that 63% of adults have a BMI in excess of 25.0 and are therefore overweight; more than a 1/4 surpass 30.0, having been declared obese. 3.8 million Americans carry over 300 lbs and 400,000 Americans fall into a 400+ lb category

In comparison US estimates from The National Institute of Mental Health show approx 5% of women and 1% of men have anorexia, bulimia, or binge ED's. It's hard to find a hard statistic on Ana death rates but most studies show only 5% of ED's result in death

If obesity is the larger problem why has the reaction been backwards?
This is of course not to "defend" pro ana sites, but unfortunately the dangers of obesity are overlooked and a large percentage of obese Americans ARE deluded in thinking that they aren't killing themselves.

My main point was to show the lack of logic that is applied to the reality of American health in favor of an emotional response as evidenced by the first several respondants to my question.

Because the majority of feeders aren't deluded into thinking that what they're doing isn't killing themselves.

If i am getting this right, pro anna sites are to help girls or guys to keep this going. Ok this is just like having someone help u kill ur self. Its not right. People should care that others are putting holes in there esophagus, and may end up dyeing

The whole feeder/feedee movement has received significant criticism. But, I think feeder sites haven't been banned because people don't know as much about them, whereas bulimia and anorexia have become widely known. As soon as there's feeder/feedee documentaries, there will be more site banning.

I think you make a good point and I have a parent who is obese and yet appears to be delusional about the reality of his weight and size and the long term side effects of overeating and lack of exercise. Maybe because severe anorexia practised over only a few months can significantly impair your bodies ability to fight infection and actually permanently damage your bone strength and internaI organs ability to function. Also it is still not socially acceptable to be morbidly obese - yet it is seen as an aspiration for most women to be slim. I had a friend who could not gain significant weight as her digestive system was doing weird stuff. She went to a health food shop looking for assistance to gain weight in a healthy way and the assistant told her she looked fine and she should not gain weight. She was too skinny and finally consulted a Dr who helped her.
It's really important that you are satisfied with your body and eat regular nutrition and drink plenty of water. It concerns me that you seem to want to defend pro ana sites. Of course obesity is a huge problem but any extreme is bad for your health.
