idk, but i think dying of cancer would be pretty bad for your mental health.
i know that ppl can get depressed if they don't get enough sun, but you can make up for that with a light box thingy that doesn't have the harmful uv rays, so that would b better than tanning.

Instead of tanning use a special light made just for SADD. You can find them on the internet. It is a lot safer than tanning and will make you feel happier.

Yes it helps with depression.. You only need a few minutes a couple of times a week.. I have been doing it for 20 years and I don't even have wrinkles yet;-)
The "light box" is made from the same UVB lights as a tanning bed.

Tanning beds can have a definite effect on mental state, after you've developed melanoma, which is the deadliest form of skin cancer.
There is a condition called SAD (seasonal affective disorder), which is a type of depression that occurs when people don't get enough daylight, such as the long nights in Alaska, especially. It's suggested that if you don't get outside enough, at least sit by a window the the blinds open. We were built to be outside more....
