Mental Health: if you want to work in a mental health facility, are they able to check your mental health background?

if you want to work in a mental health facility, are they able to check your mental health background?yeah yeah so i been in a couple rubber rooms myself but i'm completely capable of holding a job, especially one like this that I'd be interested in. I do worry that they will investigate a little deeper. That would conflict with employment. If I'm "in the system" and continue to receive mental health outpatient care, should I just save myself the embarassment and go work at mcdonalds or what?

Details of your medical record would be is considered off limits to background checks as there are laws protecting your medical records and its privacy.

They will however only find the name of the place you were institutionalized in on your background check report and nothing more, but expect that they would ask questions about it when they see it.
